Merry Christmas - Suckers!

Ho ho ho:

Citing
the improving economy, Republicans decided Monday against extending
federal unemployment benefits before Congress leaves for the year.
Democrats said it would mean a joyless Christmas for tens of thousands
of jobless Americans. ...
[T]he 57,000 jobs the country added in November didn't come close to
equaling the 150,000-person growth in the job population. [T]here are
8.7 million unemployed Americans today, and some 2 million have been
jobless for more than 26 weeks, the highest percentage of long-term
unemployment since 1983. After the federal program begins to be phased
out, some 80,000 to 90,000 jobless workers a week will be cut off after
exhausting state benefits.

Kerry spends more time politicking and making jokes about how nice his hair than he does taking care of his senatorial duties. The man has missed 75% of the votes and cost his state millions of dollars.

Mr. Kerry is obviously a shameless liar. And Bush is a decisive idiot who is financially ruining this country. So what are we going to do about it?

Personally, I'm voting for a 3rd party candidate. A third party candidate won’t get elected but a protest vote is important nonetheless. Voting for a third party candidate could have far more impact than supporting status quo politicians.

Don't throw your vote away by voting for either the selfish gigolo multimillionaire Kerry or monkey-brained Bush

Three points.

First, Kerry HAS missed a lot of Senate votes but it hasn't been 75%. So far this year, he's missed 34 out of 60 votes - which translates to 57%.

Not only did he have surgery during this period, but it's worth mentioning that nearly all members of Congress who are waging presidential bids have missed numerous roll-call votes as they travel the country greeting supporters and raising money.

Which brings me to my second point. Granted, that's a lot of votes, but some votes that were missed hardly dealt with pressing matters. They included resolutions honoring the Pledge of Allegiance and the bicentennial of Ohio statehood.

Of course, it would have been nice if Edwards and Kerry had shown up for the Senate vote on banning a procedure critics call "partial birth" abortion. The chamber backed the legislation 64-33, and it now goes to the House for consideration.

Finally, I don't think this is the time to be voting for a third-party candidate. In any other election it wouldn't really matter, as you point out. But this time around, Bush's behavior has been so egregious that it's dangerous.

We have to focus like a laser on removing the Bush cabal from power. There can be no distractions.
