It puts the lotion in the basket, or else it gets the hose....

This is the type of creepy-ass shit that the media is too scared to touch. From the New York Times:

Every community has its resident crank: a junk-hoarding, pigeon-feeding loner whose behavior might be irksome but is seldom menacing. Here in this upscale suburb of Syracuse, John T. Jamelske, 67, could often be seen sifting through cans at the local recycling center or driving along Route 92 in one of his rusty old clunkers, his white hair flying in the wind. ''He was a strange bird, but we have a lot of strange birds around here,'' said James DiStefano, the town supervisor. But Mr. Jamelske, a retired handyman, is now accused of being more than just a harmless eccentric. He was arrested last week after a 16-year-old girl told the police that Mr. Jamelske had held her captive for six months in a concrete bunker beneath the backyard of his home.
They've taken the story down (it's $2.95 to buy it), but here are the basics: This psycho built a series of concrete bunkers underneath his backyard. There were a couple of cells, each with a portable camping toilet, a mattress, a tv, and a bible (insert wry comment here). Jamelske would prey on runaway teenage girls who "wouldn't be missed" and kidnap them. Then he'd put them in these underground cells and keep them there for up to TWO YEARS, over the course of which he'd systematically rape and abuse them. Over the course of their confinement Jamelske would convince them that he was a cop and when he finally dropped them off in front of their homes he'd tell them that if they ever said anything he'd hunt them down and kill their entire family. At one point one of the girls actually went to the police, but they didn't believe her because she had a history of drug addiction. In the end, he only got discovered because one of his victims managed to get him to take her to the dump with him, from where she managed to call her sister and leave her a short message. It really makes you wonder how many of these sociopaths there are. I mean, think about how many women disappear every year without a trace. How many of them are being kept in underground cells? But back to our regularly scheduled newscast. Next up - Laci Peterson/Elizabeth Smart/Chandra Levy....
