Mr. Yabeh and Mr. Somnuk

Mr. Yabeh and Mr. Somnuk

The second and third families we helped were Mr. Yabeh's and his son Mr. Somnuk's. Mr. Yabeh has a total of six children and he lost his two boats which were his sole means of earning an income. His son, Mr. Somnuk, lost his boat and his house in the tsunami.

For the past four months, Somnuk, his wife, and his two children have been forced to move in with his father. There were 12 people living together in Mr. Yabeh's tiny house when we got there.

We gave Mr. Yabeh and Mr. Somnuk 51,000 Baht ($1300US). Hopefully they'll be able to repair one of their boats with your donations.
